Fuelsion Ltd is a private company limited by shares that holds the rights of patent pending WO-2021090010-A1 with priority date 05/11/2019, commercially known as, N4NO® Tech, registered trademark number UK00003473658, on 09/08/2020.
Serodio invented a new method of producing N4NO® Tech
environmental fuel.
Laboratory Tests

In December 2013, Serodio invented the technology. In ealry 2014, he developed a novel method, system, apparatus, and formulation to produce onboard, with low energy method, N4NO® Tech environmental fuels (NEF). Laboratory testing showed that NEF can be produced with nanoparticle size water sub-droplets with stability over 2 years.

Fund Raising

In May 2017, Joao Serodio (Serodio), Luigi Brambilla (Brambilla), and Maria Serodio (Maria) formed Brambilla & Serodio Ltd (BAS), the special purpose vehicle (SPV) assigned to hold the rights to the intellectual property and raise funds. Serodio and Brambilla also formed EPS International Ltd (EPS) assigned to determine the technical feasibility of N4NO® Tech environmental fuels (NEF).
Vehicle testing shows a reduction of exhaust gas emissions with the same fuel consumption.
Chassis Dynometer

In February 2018, BAS raised funds for EPS to determine the technical feasibility of NEF. EPS performed tests on a Jaguar X-Type 2.2D (2005) using a single roll chassis dynamometer at VC Powers, in Vila Real-Portugal. The results showed no engine modifications is required, the same fuel consumption rate and a reduction of exhaust gas emissions.
Engine testing showed no indication of fuel injectors failure.
Engine Bench

In June 2018, Brambilla & Serodio Ltd (BAS) signs a NDA with a major vehicle manufacturer to perform a trial at a Germany university using an engine bench test for a period of one week. Results showed no indications of fuel injector failure and a fuel savings of 1% (mass).
Serodio protects intellectual property and registers trademark.
Patent Pending

In May 2019, Serodio protects the intellectual property by filling for a US provisional patent (US 62.931.084). In May 2020, Serodio contracts Albright Ltd to file a PCT (WO 2021.090.010 A1) and Modal Ltda to file the Brazilian unprovisional patent (BR 112022.008.209 A2). Serodio files for an US nonprovisional patent (US 2022 370.965 A1) and is granted registered trademark N4NO® Tech (UK 00003.473.658).
Exploratory data analysis shows an increase in thermal efficiency and a decrease in emissions.
Master's Degree

From January 2020 to December 2022, exploratory data analysis (EDA) of the tests performed in VC Power, shows a simultaneous increase in thermal efficiency by 3%, a decrease in fuel costs by 12%, a decrease in the reliance of hydrocarbon fuels by 23%, and a decrease in CO2, NOx, CO and PM, by 7%, 22%, 85% and 87%, respectively.
Serodio enrols in a PhD by research in energy innovation to develop the pilot technology.
PhD Degree

In January 2023, Joao Serodio enrols in a PhD by research in energy innovation to develop the pilot technology (TRL 4-6) for the road diesel freight market segment, using commercial diesel (EN590), biodiesel and biofuels. The PhD is planned to be partially funded by Innovative UK or other Grants submitted by Fuelsion Ltd.
Fuelsion Ltd acts as the spinoff of Brambilla & Serodio Ltd.
Technically Oriented Co

In January 2023, Serodio founded Fuelsion Ltd (Fuelsion) as a private company limited by shares. The primary objective was to hold the patent-pending technology, issue shares to stakeholders, and raise funds. Fuelsion Ltd is a technically oriented company focused on assessing the potential economic viability of its technology, developing a pilot version, conducting road tests and trials, and creating a cost-effective business model.
Fuelsion Ltd submits a project for funding.
Innovative UK Grants

In October 2023, Fuelsion Ltd entered a contract with Grantify to help them apply for the Smart Grant. However, on December 11, 2023, Innovate UK evaluated the project and assigned it a score of 80.5%, which was insufficient for success. Despite this setback, Fuelsion Ltd was offered extended support from Innovate UK Business Growth. This support includes personalized coaching to refine their commercial strategy and structure, with the goal of achieving significant impact in key areas such as innovation management, finance and funding strategy, and international market expansion.
